there's nothing plain about her...

My friend Lorraine is one of the loveliest people I've ever met. Her zest and zeal are evident in everything she does. In this picture, you'll see that she turned up at the Paris Flea Market in cupcake boots to match mine! We are putting together entire entire cupcake inspired ensembles for our next tete-a-tete. See how much fun she is?

If you really want to fall head over heels for my sweet friend, just read the wonderful article her daughter wrote about her, which appeared in today's Washington Post...such a perfect Mother's Day gift to her mom.

How cool...I read this article this morning while eating breakfast, before heading off to work. I love these 'small world' happenings.

I love the article! As a mother with a daughter about to go off to Boston for college, I can relate. What a wonderful tribute to her Mom! Does Lorraine have a blog/website? I would like to get to know her better!

How cute! And now I want an actual cupcake, a chocolate one, as a matter of fact. :) It was great meeting you at the Paris Flea Market and I'm very happy with my pretty apron. I did e-mail you about the Doors accordion book but thought I'd leave a note here, too, just in case my e-mail went off into the equivalent of sock heaven. Here's my info again:
