hearts on a string...

I'm helping my friend Lorraine with a couple of decorations for her daughter's upcoming wedding.

We saw this and were inspired...

I got busy and started making something similar...

I've made 20 so far but my goal is to make 60 strands! That's a lot of cutting and stringing of hearts. Maybe I need to revise that...

What a light and airy effect! Beautiful! It's probably one of those projects that feel like it takes forever, but I bet when it's all done you'll be really happy you persevered!

We made something just like this in red and pink felt for a Valentines day garland. If you are hand sewing, it would be faster to sew by machine, like we did--works on felt, paper and fabric...The machine stitches make a thread chain in between the hearts.

Oh i love the paper hearts...I'm doing the decoration for my sons wedding in October and this looks like a beautiful thing to have...are they paper, threaded on the string? Sounds like a mission to do so many! They look beautiful tho...your blog is lovely :)
